We are a central London based group of Consultant Hand and Wrist Orthopedic Surgeons who have joined together in The Hand Doctor Practice.
We deliver hand and wrist patients (adults and children) with the best private care possible in several locations around London. We offer trauma management, including fracture fixation and the management of elective conditions such as tendon release, carpal tunnel surgery, dupuytrens disease and arthritis as well as the very latest techniques for many other conditions.
The Hand Doctor Practice office admin team will help you make an appointment with any our consultants. Call 0208 150 8290 or email info@thehanddoctor.co.uk
Our practice is built on experience, evidence, teamwork and innovation. The Hand Doctor Practice surgeons work with a network of medical colleagues, radiologists, anaesthetists, and specialist hand therapists and physiotherapists to provide a comprehensive hand and wrist orthopaedic surgical service, including sports injuries, complex trauma, joint, neurological, muscular and nerve treatment and surgery service.
We run regular multidisciplinary conferences for discussion of complex cases and collaborate when necessary, with two consultants for complex operations. We regularly provide teaching at educational events and meetings and are all in substantive NHS posts in central London. We are also involved in the British Society of surgery for the hand (BSSH).

Mr Horwitz and Mr Shaerf recently attended the BSSH annual academic meeting in Birmingham. There was lots of learning from colleagues and with great networking across the community. The meeting was also held jointly with the British Association of Hand Therapists.
Mr Horwitz is honoured to be elected as the incoming surgeon BAHT Patron for a four-year term taking over from Manchester based consultant hand surgeon, James Bedford (pictured left) with Leanne (outgoing BAHT President) and Linda Cornish (incoming BAHT President).
The BSSH conference was also a great opportunity for Mr Horwitz to mingle with his NHS team from Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust, Pictured here are some of the great team that make up the Hand Unit team at C&W NHS Trust (hand therapists and surgeons)
